I received free products from OXO to write about in this post. All opinions remain my own.
Full disclosure here: I hate cleaning.
Like super duper, absoposotively-lutely, without a doubt, hate cleaning. I didn’t used to mind it so much, back in the days when what I tidied would remain that way for some time. But now, when the toilet can’t even go unused for 2 minutes after I’ve scrubbed it, it’s hard to keep motivated. Whatever I do is undone immediately. It’s the pits.

But I do get a thrill out of a perfectly organized workspace. Oh, what a feeling! A place for everything and everything in its place. Cleared counters gleaming in the sunlight. An empty sink. A cooktop primed for whatever experiment I think of next. It does wonders for the soul.

{loving this foldaway dish rack from OXO, which can be stashed when not in use so your counters are clear from clutter!}
So, while I can’t seem to keep the school papers at bay, and there will always be some sort of dog hair dust bunny in the house, at least–thanks to OXO–I can keep my utensils where they should be, my dishes in an attractive rack while they’re drying, and all my opened stuff from spilling out all over all my other stuff. My heart sings at the prospects!
OXO recently sent me some items to get my kitchen back in order and I was so happy to put them to work right away!

{aren’t these scrubbers just adorable? and I love the tray that came with the heavy duty scrubber–it’s own little home on my counter!}
I don’t have a ton of space, but I was able to make better use of what I have. What did I love the most out of the goodies I was given?
- The NEW Foldaway Dish Rack, which lets me stash it in the cabinet when not in use, so my counters look even cleaner when guests come over. (It looks like this all the time–really!) (retails for $39.99)
- The Expandable Utensil Organizer created order from chaos in my silverware drawer! I like how the pieces alternate, better utilizing the available space. And they dividers are adjustable, so you can alter it to your needs. (retails for $14.99)
- The NEW Sponge Holder made my sponge corner so much neater! Instead of haphazardly stacking them, they have a place of their own–and dry so much faster! The water that collects in the bottom pours out easily, too, to keep from getting smelly and gross. (retails for $9.99)

{a place for everything, and everything in its place}
I also really, really, really love the idea of the Compost Bin. I say the idea of it because we’re still a frozen tundra here and I can’t get to my compost pile yet, so I haven’t really tested it out. But it will be the perfect size for me to grab kitchen scraps, something I wasn’t doing before. Here’s to better habits that will help my garden grow!

{the sponges have a home now!}
Am I transformed into a domestic goddess? No. That’s too big of a job, even for OXO. But I am a little bit happier now. And perhaps–just maybe–I might be ready soon to tackle the bigger spring cleaning projects. If spring ever arrives, of course.
I love that scrubber with its own dish. Need that.
It’s just a perfect pairing! 🙂
I hate the daily cleaning chores too! Love the disposable dish rack! Perfect for those of us with limited counter space — and no dishwashers!!!
Ugh–no dishwasher?! I never had one until a year ago and now I can’t live without it! But yes, LOVE the foldable dish rack!
