    Didn’t this challenge make you wonder why we by ricotta from the grocery store? It’s SO easy to make. (And I can’t imagine they use whey from already-made cheese either!) Great challenge and post this month, Carrie!

    This was such a great challenge for First on the First, Carrie! I’m sorry I didn’t get to participate- I tried making goat cheese THREE TIMES this month, and every batch failed to make anything even sort of resembling a curd, so I was forced to throw in the towel (and looking forward to reading what Kate has to say about her cheese!). So I’m way impressed that you carried through. Ricotta is one of my great loves, it’s so simple to make and it tastes a million times better than anything you can buy in the store. Very much looking forward to Candy Canes next month!

    That looks amazing!! Ive always wanted to learn the “basic” foods! Like cheese (also bread)…… but I would love to learn how to make cream cheese! April
