    What would be a non-alcoholic substitute for the bourbon? I don’t drink or allow alcohol in my home. Thank you!

      That’s a good question. I would suggest increasing the vanilla extract as a start. From what I’m reading online, some extra water or apple juice will help keep it from being dry. If I were going to mess with it, though, I would probably double the vanilla extract and make up the difference with milk. Though I haven’t tested this so I cannot verify that it will work.
