The weekend edition, a little early.
Skiers in Connecticut can rejoice! Ski Sundown is planning on opening for the season on Friday at 9AM and rumor has it that Mohawk will be opening Saturday at 8:30AM. Sundown will have side-to-side coverage–no white ribbon of death here!–and if the weather cooperates, they may even have moguls on Nor’Easter for opening day. Woohoo! Bring it on!
Saturday brings the Brazen Betties Vintage Expo and Bettie Page Look-Alike Contest to the Torrington Armory. Cutie Julia Sloan of Brazen Betties is hosting what is sure to be a fun-filled event catering to vintage lovers everywhere. There will be vintage vendors, a fashion show, and even a performance by the Beat City Beauties! Admission is $5, or free if you’re dressed in vintage attire. There will be an after party at Snapper Magee’s for those who aren’t ready to end the festivities at 5PM.
If you do go, you may want to swing by Artwell on Water Street as well to check out the work of local artists. I’ll be gallery sitting noon to 2:30PM so come on down and say hi!
Enjoy! I know I will!
