Taking Advantage of Winter: Ski Sundown

Ski Sundown

Sorry to disappoint, but this is not a food story. Fair warning! Saturday, I spent the afternoon photographing the mogul skiing competition at my home hill, Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT. For a small hill, they’ve come a long way in the last few years and are now the leader in mogul skiing in … [Read more…]

Twisted Nut

Wondering what to do this weekend? Sundown will have side-to-side coverage–no white ribbon of death here!–and if the weather cooperates, they may even have moguls … [Read more…]

In the mostly uneventful week of reorganizing my life, there hasn’t been much to report. I vacuumed. I dusted. I organized the kids’ toys. I baked only a little. I went to school. Life was pretty normal and boring, which is why I didn’t bother reporting the details. Who wants to read that anyway? But … [Read more…]

Busy Weekend Ahead

Twisted Nut at Up Or On The Rocks

I generally leave the weekend posts to CT Scenic–people who actually know not only what’s going on, but are well-versed enough to know whether it’s worth going to or not. For instance, they were the ones who, on Facebook, brought to my attention The Purr Project Inc.’s Fundraiser tonight: Titties for Kitties. Burlesque, anyone? (So … [Read more…]
