Most days in our home commence with bowls of cereal.
For my son, who rises before the sun does, driven by some internal force that makes him eager to start the day, it’s an easy way for him fuel himself. For my husband, who grabs a quick bowl on his way out the door–no time for anything more elaborate. For my daughter, who isn’t so fond of mornings, and usually is forced to eat her cereal from a baggie during the drive to my parents’ house. And for me, once I arrive at work, scarfing it down quickly so I can finish before I get wrapped up in something else (soggy cereal is the worst!). Our mornings are made by cereal.
This may be the most natural of food celebration days on the calendar. It’s just so simple! This year, Nature Valley approached me for help spreading the word about their new cereals and I couldn’t be happier about it! After all–we eat cereal every day anyway. Why not change things up a bit?
That’s right–Nature Valley isn’t just bars now! They have 3 new cereals in their line-up to help you with the most important meal of the day: Honey Oat Clusters, Baked Oat Bites, and Chocolate Oat Clusters. No matter your preference, there’s something for everyone here!
Nature Valley Honey Oat Clusters are a combination of oat clusters and wheat and corn flakes, with a touch of honey for a little sweetness. I LOVE this cereal–I could eat it every day! Boasting 12 grams of protein per serving, when eaten with milk, you’ll have the perfect power punch for your morning. Bonus: there are no artificial flavors, colors, or high fructose corn syrup to get in the way of your enjoyment!
Nature Valley Baked Oat Bites are cinnamon flavored baked squares dressed with a light, sweet drizzle. They are a great source of fiber with flavor, and make a satisfying snack, too. Each serving has 23 grams of whole grain–a great jump on the 48 grams of whole grain recommended per day. Baked Oat Bites also contain no artificial flavors, colors, or high fructose corn syrup, providing peace of mind when your kids beg to have more of them. (Yes, these were my kids’ favorite–they couldn’t get enough of them!)
Sadly, I was not able to locate the 3rd flavor yet…and I stress yet, because it’s on my list to grab as soon as I see it! Nature Valley Chocolate Oat Clusters turn breakfast into a true treat! Oat clusters, wheat flakes, and corn flakes meet up with chocolate chunks for a dessert-like cereal. (Who doesn’t like chocolate, after all?!?) Just like its sibling cereals, there are no artificial colors, flavors, or high fructose corn syrup in this recipe–just lots of fiber, a nice punch of protein (when eaten with milk), and chocolate. It doesn’t get better than that, right?
