#ad #Giveaway: Paris to Provence Cookbook

Disclosure: Cooks&Books&Recipes provided me with the cookbook for the giveaway in this post. All opinions remain my own.

Paris to Provence: Childhood Memories of Food & France cover

Have you heard the news? I’m now one of the Cooks at Cooks&Books&Recipes! I couldn’t have been more thrilled when Teddy approached me about this opportunity. It may be a digital world these days, but my love for flipping through the pages of a gorgeous cookbook, absorbing the photos and diving into the life of the author, will never die. Cookbooks are one of my guilty pleasures–I have a bookcase overflowing with them–but it’s a pleasure worth indulging in. They are sources of inspiration, to be passed down from generation to generation. They are more eternal to me than digital will ever be.

My first assignment as a Cooks&Books&Recipes reviewer was Ethel Brennan’s and Sara Remington’s joint venture, Paris to Provence: Childhood Memories of Food & France, and I couldn’t wait for its arrival. Sadly, USPS chose not to cooperate with my enthusiasm. The first package Teddy sent me disappeared. 2 weeks passed without a sign of it, so another copy was sent on its merry way. About a week after the replacement landed–when I was already deeply in love with the narrative and photography, poring over it on my lunch breaks and dragging it everywhere with me, including to restaurants–the first copy arrived. 25 days after it was mailed. I think people have walked that far in less time.

This shipping error is your fortune, for now I have an extra brand-new copy of this gorgeous cookbook/memoir and Teddy said I could share it with you! Yup, you get a chance to win one for your very own collection!

First, I’d really like for you to go over and check out my review at Cooks&Books&Recipes. I was even able to share one of the recipes–Glace á la Pistache (pistachio ice cream)–which will surely satisfy you in this crazy heat wave! Browse around, check out some of the other cooks and the books they’ve discussed (you’ll probably even recognize some of their names!). Then come back here to get yourself entered. You do not want to miss out on this one–this is so much more than a cookbook, one to be treasured for a lifetime.

Thanks for celebrating with me! And good luck!
